Foot Orthotics

Orthotics are innersoles which are designed to change the position of a person’s feet.

We use both custom made and prefabricated orthotics.

Prefabricated orthotics

• Cost-effective, and are great for children or when a mild amount of support is needed.

Custom orthotics

• Used in more complexes cases. These can be designed to be soft or firm, depending on the problem.

• Valentine Podiatry uses the a state-of the art 3D scanner to cast for custom orthotics.

• Traditionally, a plaster foot cast is taken while the patient is lying down- This process creates a difference in shape between the cast and the patient’s foot when standing. This scanner allows the cast to be taken with the foot on the ground- Leading to a more accurate result and improved comfort.
